Office Hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday / Closed on New Year's
Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Visitors to the city offices can conduct most of their business at the customer
service counter on the first floor of the Mason Municipal Center.

Administration
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the city.
- Implements actions authorized by City Council.
- Human Resources Office provides employee services.
- Economic Development Office recruits new businesses and provides services to
existing businesses.

Engineering and Building
- Administers yearly paving program.
- Inspects roads, water lines, and sanitary and storm lines in new
subdivisions.
- Designs, inspects, and administers major road and bridge replacements.
- Oversees zoning, city planning.
- Issues building permits, construction permits, and building inspections.
- Oversees stormwater management.
- Provides other engineering services.

Finance
- Manages city financial operations, including accounts payable, debt
financing, and investments.
- Administers payroll operations.
- Monitors the budget.
- Tax Office oversees collection of Mason's 1% earnings tax.
- Provides information about water, sewer, stormwater, and trash collection
fees and services.

Fire Department
- Provides emergency paramedic and fire services.
- Hosts community public education and participation programs.
- Provides juvenile fire setters counseling program for the state Fire
Marshall's office.

Parks & Recreation
- Provides recreation programs, educational programs, and community special
events.
- Operates the Mason Community Center.
- Promotes health, fitness and wellness.
- Protects our natural resources and preserves open space.
- Provides individual, community, economic, and environmental benefits.

Police Department
- Maintains law and order.
- Provides safety services such as vacation house checks and bicycle
registration.
- Encourages safety awareness.
- Sponsors the Citizens' Police Academy and other public education programs.

Public Utilities
- Maintains water reclamation (sewer) services for City of Mason residents and
businesses.
- Acts as the City of Mason's liaison with Greater Cincinnati Water Works for
water service to the city.

Public Works
- Maintains city facilities: street signs, roads, public buildings,
rights-of-way, storm sewers, tornado sirens, traffic lights, street lights,
city vehicles.
- Clears snow and ice from public roadways.
- Provides street sweeping, right-of-way mowing, litter control, dead animal
removal.
- Provides brush chipping and leaf collection services for residents.

The Mason Community Center will be closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Special holiday hours will be scheduled for
Memorial Day, July 3rd, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and New
Year's Eve.

The City of Mason has parkland and recreational programs for everyone! Six
parks, totaling 242 acres, are home to athletic fields, basketball and tennis
courts, picnic shelter areas, fishing lakes, hiking trails, playgrounds, and an
award-winning swimming pool. Some parks have picnic and other facilities that
can be reserved. Recreational activities and special events occur in the parks
year-round.
